Awesome campground, love the trails around the campground. We had a spotted owl hanging out tight next to our site for a bit. We had 36, which backed up to the bluff overlooking the lake. It was plenty of room for our 23' (28' overall) travel trailer plus truck. Weather was perfect in early August. Only drawback was it is a ways off the highway, 23 miles on semi paved forest service roads to get to highway 101 but it was a beautiful drive.

Coho campground sites were good size and afforded space and privacy between sites. There were hiking trails starting at the campground. Informational display on the history of the area/dam at the Kiosk below the dam was informative. This kiosk was the "visitor center". Two nearby waterfalls are easy and fun to visit. The trees in this area are magnificent giants!

Yurt was clean and bug free. No signs of mouse activity. A plug receptacle let us warm water for coffee and hot chocolate. A trail to the water is a bit steep, but usable. Stones next to the water allowed fun stone skipping.!

We had group site 40 right next to the bathroom. There was not really enough room for 4 tents and one of ours went beyond the large rocks in place as a boundary. People were walking through our site to reach the bathroom until we put up our 4 tents. With small children the convenience of the bathroom out weighed the lack of privacy. Only real complaint was the very loud hispanic group that stayed up talking till 2 am. The next night was super quiet. Our kids loved riding their bikes around the campground. We didnt need anything but appreciate the option of buying more ice or firewood.

Site is situated along a pleasant lake with an impressive dam. Clean sites and restrooms, equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and water spigots. Some fun, easy nearby hikes to waterfalls. In the middle of nowhere, so access to things like groceries needs to be planned in advance.

Camp hosts were amazing. Love that they operate a kiosk for items people may have forgotten and will even bring items from town since one of them commutes from Aberdeen everyday.

The firewood for sale was very very wet Alder so bring a duraflame log to get the fire started for each night you are there. They ran out of firewood mid-week and the truck to bring more apparently broke down so there was no firewood for a couple days.

There is no cell phone service at the campground, but there is service and Wi-Fi available at the dam.

Had a wonderful stay at Coho. The sites were spacious and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The reservoir was beautiful and easy to access. Highly recommend!

The water is very clean. The campground is spacious, but the lake is dead. The Lakeshore has only tree stumps, no life. The trail that goes along the lake is slated for being clear cut. Such a tragedy we have to treat our land with respect.

Very clean restroom. Long drive way to enable several cars to park for group site. Friendly host. Beautiful lake view. Will definitely come back.
