This is a gorgeous and quiet campground. Lots of trails nearby for ATV and dirt bike users - but also some really lovely ones for people who prefer hiking. It's right near the river, and the views and sense of the forest is amazing. Rustic, but a perfect place to get away from it all!

We ended up trading site 17 for site 16, which was on the river and HUGE. Beautiful trees, great shade and direct river access. The river was very cold and moving fast but wonderful to listen to and sit by. There are many trails just a short drive away from the campground and so many little lakes for great day trips also just a drive away. The campground itself was clean and spacious, not slammed in on top of other people. Our camp host Stewie and his sweet doggie Gerty were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area and we looked forward to chatting with them daily when they did their rounds.

Reservation signage woefully out of date. Host not there much. He had monster dog who barked when anyone walked by. Very little hiking there..Long drive in not really worth it. North Fork C.G. much better and closer to hwy 12. l

Where to begin, our camping host was clueless. Rarely at the campground. His dogs wasnβt the friendliest nor was he. Saturday morning smoke from all the wild fires was coming through the campgrounds my husband and a few other campers went to talk to the host and the host had zero information and that he had to go in to town to find out. Randle is 56 minutes away. So 90 minutes to get information back to anyone. It should be a mandated that all host have 2 way radios out there or something. No it wasnβt from our campfires. Because there was a burn ban. My next complete there was Zero Alerts on the website that we couldnβt have fires. It would have been nice to know that we couldnβt have fires before we left. So we could have planned for it! Yes we checked! Totally understand on why. There should been alert on the website. Been going to Adams forks for years and never have I been this disappointed.

Lovely campground, however the host was not doing a good job of maintaining the restrooms.

We arrived on Monday afternoon and departed on Thursday afternoon. During this time we saw our camp host(s) twice. Once when they checked the garbage late (after dark) on our first night, and again on Thursday when they checked the restroom. The first time they were playing loud music and appeared intoxicated. The second time they put TP in the restroom and left. They were always absent. Told by other campers they do a lot of kayaking. They never spoke to us or our neighbor in the next site the 3 1/2 days we were there. Very few amenities at this park and currently no present camp host to ask/answer questions or take care of issues.

The campsites were nice. Clean, pretty quiet, and will maintained. Valut toiles were clean.
A few items to consider.
1) There is not much to do at this campground. No real river access. No hiking trails from the campground.
2) The camp hosts were pretty sketchy ad gave off a negative vibe. They also had very loud dogs that barked whenever anyone passed the camp host campsite on the road. They did nothing to discourage this behavior.
3) The water from one of the two campground hand pumps has a rust color tint. The other was just fine.
We had a nice 3-day weekend there but would not go back.

Very busy campsite in summer months, campsites tend to get overcrowded. Very beautiful area otherwise.

Great overall experience. Always enjoy this campground. The one drawback this time was that there was no firewood for sale.
