What Guests Are Saying
Takhlakh Lake Campground offers stunning scenery, with breathtaking views of Mt. Adams and a well-maintained lake. The hiking trails and campground facilities are generally clean, and the camp hosts receive praise for their friendliness and diligence. However, issues such as a lack of potable water, occasional overcrowding, and recent management challenges can detract from the experience, especially during peak times.

Such a beautiful place! The only negative thing is lots of mosquitos and flies. Just bring a bunch of mosquito repellent.

Everything was sparkly clean. Beautiful location. Nice chill hike around the lake. Hosts were friendly and always seemed to be working. Plus, awesome views of Mt. Adams.

Nice lake and campground with dark skies at night. Vault toilets were very clean for what they were and there were quite a few of them. Be prepared for the bug - so, so many bugs.

Forest trail 112 up to the intersection with the PCT is well worth the effort. Nicest fault toilets I’ve seen. Very well done. Bring Proper clothing and repellent for the bugs. Enjoy the beauty.

One of the most beautiful places in Gifford Pinchot National Forest. My only complaint is the mosquitoes are unbearable.

Beautiful lake and views of Mt Adams. Clean camp site. Nice view of Mt Rainer from a short hike out of the camp. Surprisingly no water except from the lake. Friendly camp hosts. The gravel road leading into the park from the gorge was in fairly good shape, but the road leading NE from the park was more rough and difficult. We rode some of this with our gravel bikes.
