According to the web site, there were only a couple of sites unreserved for the dates I wanted. When I got there, most of the campground was vacant. People must be reserving a site, then not cancelling when they decide not to show up. Made it nice :)

We did a one-way-hike in the Goat Rocks Wilderness, driving up the forest roads and camping here before setting off. There's a parking lot for leaving cars while hiking over several days, and an overflow lot just outside of the campground. We left one car here and then drove to the start of our hike (leaving another car at that trail head).
The camp host was great, answering questions and sold us some firewood. It was rainy and drizzling the whole time, but we had a great time camping out. Its a calm, forested campground -- some sites on the water, others just a short walk away. The lake is gorgeous -- we hopped in for a quick dip in the refreshing (freezing?) waters. I'd definitely recommend this campground, just make sure your car has good clearance for the forest roads!

Was there the last week it was open. No host and all the water was already shut off, and still had to pay full price. Had fun camping though.

It was a great experience. The only trouble was that the water was shut off by September, which we weren’t prepared for.
