Nice secluded campground. No running water though and the drive there is washboard hell. No mosquitoes late August.

A perfect trip: very few mosquitos, lots of huckleberries, high temps into 70's lows in upper 30's. The way the surrounding mountains rise from the lake is breathtaking. Our campsite, 15, is very large and secluded and the bathrooms were relatively clean. We'll be back again!

Walupt Lake is an excellent place to start an exploration of the Goat Rocks Wilderness. The campground is 30 minutes or less from several trailheads. The campground is quiet and well cared for.
