Camped here over fourth of July weekend to escape fireworks. VERY quiet so it was perfect! Great horse camping (and people camping). Corrals are nice and big, but don't really have any shade except for a couple. Easy access to water and close by to the camp spots. Very "natural" setting camp spots that are large and located in a close in area but you don't feel like you're right on top of your neighbor. Vault toilet restroom. Very nice camp host and beautiful area for trail riding. But, if you are looking for casual trail riding, there isn't much of that. Most of the trails are uphill, very rocky and difficult. There is a reason this campground was a base camp for mules!
