What Guests Are Saying
Wish Poosh Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting with a friendly campground host who is helpful and sociable. The site provides good privacy and lovely lake views, making it a great choice for families and first-time campers. However, there are concerns about the lack of potable water and the cleanliness of portable toilets, as well as some litter in the campground.

Lots of thatcher ants in our site (19) and through the campground but they tend not to bother you if you leave them alone. Site 19 was huge, couple different spots to put a tent but won’t hold a tent much bigger than a 9 person. The beach trail is next to site 19 but you still don’t really see the traffic from the site it’s so private. The lake was great, we loved the campground host she was a sweetheart. My family has been camping here for decades and the only thing we would change is to fix the water situation. The portable toilets they provide are clean and stocked.

Clean and well kept.
The lake is a little low in the end of july.
Its a bit of a walk to get to the water.

We stayed in site 019 over the 4th of July weekend. The campground host was very nice and worked with us to let an extra truck park near our site. There is no water at this campsite so you have to haul cooking and drinking water in. The bathroom accommodations are portable toilets but they were relatively clean. Our site was near the beach entrance which is about 1/2 mile from the campground to the water (bring walking shoes)! This campground has ants, ants, ants everywhere, keep your tents closed.

We had a great stay at Wish Poosh Campground. The area was clean and the campground host was incredibly helpful and friendly - especially with guiding us first time trailer campers with our trailer. There is no potable water and the toilets are still out of service, however the portable toilets were surprisingly clean. Beautiful lake views and we even saw some wild turkeys.

The site was very spacious and good location for tents. The wind was pretty strong so be prepared with tie downs for any canopies.

No running water. Bathrooms closed, only porta-potties - which were VERY full.

Campgrounds were absolutely filthy. It wasn't even just our campsite that was littered with garbage, it was the whole campground. We were willing to overlook that and just clean up our own site, but then found that the whole campground lacked water access. Tried multiple spigots, all dry. Asked the hosts and they just said that there wasn't water and we could go up the road to a natural spring to fill water (which they didn't even know the location of), or we could go back to town and buy water. It's like the hosts were just not doing their jobs inspecting the sites after visitors checked out. Won't be back.
