This trip was a bit of a mixed bag and most of it had to do with trying to deal with this resort. On one hand, the location was absolutely stunning nice relaxed great access to the lake and the RV spots were well kept and nice.
It seemed obvious that this location was recently individually owned, but has now been purchased by a larger corporation. And the experience dealing with booking or communication was really tough.
They were low staff, and so there was only one guy who seemed to be working all day and all night. I don’t recall his name, but he was very attentive when he could be found, and he did a fabulous job… But he needed a lot more help for a full campground of vacationers.
They allow you to rent pontoon boats, and our group did that one day but it was a mess trying to figure out if they had a reservation or not which boat we were gonna take if the boat would start and more. I would skip the pontoon boat the next time.
would I visit this place again? If their customer service and communication got fixed, the answer would be an instant yes. But because of the way, the corporation is running the location, we probably will skip this location next time.
This would be a one star if it wasn’t for how beautiful the location was as well as the one employee who was trying his damnedest to make sure we were all taken care of.
