What Guests Are Saying
Skamania Lodge offers a beautiful setting with stunning views and impressive accommodations, particularly in the cabins, which include convenient amenities. While the food quality can vary, guests enjoyed the bar food and breakfast, with some highlighting excellent service from staff like April and James. However, some reviewers noted cleanliness issues and thin walls, along with concerns over pricing for food and parking, suggesting that the cost may not fully reflect the experience.

We snuck away the weekend before Valentine’s and the lodge and setting were impressive. Unfortunately our room was not. There was…usage stains in the toilet, hair (presumably dog) all over the sheets and duvet, and lots of dust on the bar/coffee area. It just didn’t feel clean, especially for the cost. We brought our concerns to the front desk and they did switch us to an exact room down the hall.
Food was hit or miss, sometimes amazing and other times, like their mushroom ravioli which seemed to sitting in a bowl of a neutral cooking oil, was very disappointing. Breakfast was good, and their bar food was really good.

Spent 2 nights in the cabins at Skamania with my wife and 3 boys (8, 6, & 14mo). The accommodations were great. The cabin comes with a small kitchenette with everything you need, a deck with table and chairs, grill, patio furniture, and a gas fire pit. The staff we encountered from the front desk, spa/pool, restaurants, and golf shop were all great. We encountered one small issue that is 100% out of their control with the train horns 24/7 (sounds like there is work being done to change laws to impact that but will not be an immediate fix). April the manager was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and provided some options, empathy, and was so personable that it made it totally fine.
My two boys and I played the 9 hole par 3. When we checked in and I heard it was fake greens I have to admit I got the spine shivers. However, I’ve never seen golf shop putting turf outside in as good of condition as it was. It played very true and was a great experience.
I also lost a cap, sunglasses, and my car keys over the two days. James from the front desk went above and beyond to go into the closed golf shop and search the carts to find my keys. He eased my mind by finding them after hours vs waiting til the morning.
My kids loved spending an hour in the game room after dinner playing ping pong, foosball, Wii, and board games.
We will definitely be coming back! Thank you April and James for making our stay extra special.

Not quite as relaxing as I thought it would be. The walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbors quit well. The people were great and friendly. The restaurant had great service but the food wasn't anything special. My husband's risotto was undercooked with no flavor. The scallops were way over priced as you only got 3. The prime rib came cold along with the potatoes. We weren't aware that reservations needed to be made and waited over 40 minutes for a table.
No bottled water in the room. The bathroom fan didn't work at all, but it was clean. So I appreciate that.
Only other thing I'd have to say I didn't like was paying nightly for parking. Ridiculous considering your guests are already paying a high price to stay over night, hitting them with paid parking on top is just bad business.

Let me start with, this place is gorgeous and in a beautifully green raining area. The reason I am not giving such high marks is because the price does not reflect the accommodation.
The room was fine… clean and cozy and by cozy, I mean quite small.
The pool/spa had TONS of kids in there and the spa wasn’t hot.
The bar restaurant was ok. The food was just ok and the prices were CRAZY for bar food. Too much. The service was also terrible. The bar tenders were talking to each other so much that customers were lining up at the bar to order and it was not busy at all.
I won’t be back. It’s definitely not worth the money.

Embarking on my first visit, I was met with an absolutely excellent experience from start to finish. The location offered gorgeous views that were truly breathtaking and provided a stunning backdrop to the day. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and drinks, each bite and sip a delightful treat. It's a place I'd highly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable outing with fantastic scenery and culinary delights. My overall impression? A resounding 10/10 for this wonderful destination.
