This is a beautiful jewel in The Gorge that is at your fingertips if so many things to do. It’s fairly quiet with the exception of trains now and then, but I love the sound of trains. The grounds are wonderfully kept by the camp hosts and respectful campers. A nice view of the backside of the dam and lit up at night, it’s fun to watch the river traffic go by, and fun to draw the attention in the sternwheeler and get passengers to wave. My real fascination is all the stone work from the 30’s, so beautiful. I would love to see it uncovered to show off a little more of its glory. The camp hosts are exceptional, and so helpful and knowledgeable when there are questions, I give them an A+. So if you are thinking of going here, do it!! Walk around the grounds, be peaceful with nature, and explore the area.
