What Guests Are Saying

Lewis and Clark RV offers a beautiful, wooded setting and a friendly, accommodating camp host who enhances the camping experience, especially for families. Many long-time visitors appreciate the location and variety of outdoor activities available in the area. However, there are significant concerns regarding campground maintenance and cleanliness, particularly in the bathrooms and overall management, which may need attention.

Stayed two nights at Lewis and Clark campground in early November of 2025. Arrived to find the office conveniently closed the two days we where scheduled to be here, no problem: pull into our quite beautiful site, electricity and water works. We travel in a van and where looking forward to hot showers and bathrooms you can stand up in. Well the bathrooms looked like someone had been murdered in the showers, mold, dead bug carcasses and blood? stained the walls. Both toilets in the men's and woman's rooms were full and plugged up, again with no office to voice concerns to and a slightly sketchy feeling about the long term guests here we kept our concerns to ourselves as we needed power on these cloudy November days. Our first day hanging out at camp a nice neighbor came up to us and told us a couple horror stories of the parks new management. Saying that these downed trees have not been taken care of for years and that the park is in desperate need of wintetization and general attention. No less than an hour later a man stating he was management rolled right up to our site and decided he would take care of these logs with no prompting from us or any care that is was a Saturday at noon as the only guest on this side of the park it was certainly weird. Seemed like he was checking us out and maybe trying to look like he was trying. Only took care of one tree made alot of noise and didn't even haul it out or touch the 20 or so other fallen trees down the way. We don't usually leave bad reviews just move on, but this was uber weird. We both work and manage campgrounds as seasonal workers and understand maintenence and cleaning can back up. This park has not seen love in years and the way "management" handled that chainsaw i wouldnt trust them to change a lightbulb. Feeling bad for the cute long term residents who obviously know the problems and the owners who refuse to put any time or money invested into their "cash cow"

We had a trip planned to lost lake with our 43 ft RV. When we got there the site was way too small and recreation.gov had it listed for the wrong size spot. There was no other place they could put us. So we headed out and found this RV park. It made our getaway with the kids perfect! They were so accommodating and the camp hosts were beyond amazing and welcoming to us. We will definitely be coming back!

We have been coming to this campground for almost two decades. Love the woods type setting and the location is great! In our younger years we spent the summers here fishing. There is much you can do in the gorge area; bike riding, golfing, fishing, hiking, touring the fish hatchery to name a few.
The camp host is wonderful and truely cares about the campers. On a recent visit, she had a movie for the kids in the evening. She has always been there to great us and makes herself available.

Exceptionally happy. It was the only campsite available on the 4th of July weekend and we wouldn't have had it any other way. Beautiful scenery surrounding the site, very clean bathrooms with hot water showers. The entirety of the grounds are very clean, we saw one cigarette butt that was actively being picked up. Everyone was super friendly that stayed there and worked there. There are a few full timers there and they where all quiet and the two we chatted to are very kind. We will be staying here again when in the area, feels like a hidden gem. Within walking distance of a couple restaurants (one being a cute little taproom).

Nice spot to stay while visiting the Colombia Gorge! We don't usually stay in RV parks, but this was better than I expected. We had reserved a tent site for just 1 night on our way to a family reunion, thinking it had parking in the site, but while checking in, the nice lady in the office switched us to a standard campsite because I explained we sleep in our camper van. Tent sites are a grassy meadow that has no pull in and just for tent camping. We got site #4 along the creek! It was lovely! Had water and electricity but we only needed the water. We've had hot weather and drought so the creek was dry but still very pretty with wildflowers growing among the river stones! It will be fantastic when the creek is full and running. It was peaceful and no loud people, just the Gorge trains running every couple hours, but we didn't mind, kind of soothing to hear and we weren't too close to the tracks in our site. They do have restrooms and a coin operated showers and laundry facility. They have some cool Lewis and Clark and Gorge history items at the main office building and around the campground as well. Pretty surrounding and well maintained campsites! Thank you for a lovely stay! 👍😁💖
