What Guests Are Saying

Eagle Creek Overlook Group Site offers beautiful scenery and convenient access to hiking trails in the Columbia Gorge, making it a picturesque location for outdoor activities. However, guests have reported issues with cleanliness in the bathrooms, unexpected foot traffic through the site, and noise from nearby roads and trains, which may disrupt sleep. Overall, while the site has its charms, potential visitors should be aware of these drawbacks.

Bathrooms had brown on walls, spiders all over bathrooms, no soap. If you think it will be private because it has a locking gate you are wrong, people constantly walking through. Even had someone drive their truck and trailer through all the sites shinning their flashlight in everyone's tents. Broken windows I the bathroom and attached room. Was told the bathroom and building was part of the rental however was not told that anyone has the right to walk into the building at anytime and use the bathrooms that in the rental says we needed to clean the toilets. Was very pretty scenery was the only upside to constantly being disturbed by people after renting the group site with a locked gate. So if you don't mind people walking through your group sites all day and cleaning toilets after random strangers then this is the site for you. Good luck. We will never be going back. Oh and ps poison oak too.

Great location with nice views and hikes near by. The road is a close to the camping area so you could hear freeway noise, but it didn’t bother us.

TERRIBLE...! Even thinking about it makes me angry... the train blaring it's horn every other hour makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get some shut eye... they should have mentioned this in the details.

Very disappointed. Worst nights sleep I've ever had, and it's not even close. I got a weird bite on my rump! It's all swollen and gross! I think there's an infestation of these things or something because, there's no escape!

If you think of staying here, DON'T! It's terrible.

Actually the traffic and train noise wasn't as bad as I remembered it from years ago but it is still there. The campsite we were in was pretty tight for two tents and one had to be setup on the parking pad. The campground was full but there aren't a ton of sites, people noise was very minimal. Big trees, toilets, convenient water sources, easy access for an early morning hike up eagle Creek.
