Perfection. Sites are large and offer lots of shade. Weather permitting sleep without a rain fly, the canopy of trees is beautiful as are the stars. The waterfall hikes are gorgeous. Go in the water‼️. And the camp hosts went above and beyond. Super friendly and very helpful when my battery died. Christian and his partner are the best.

It’s always the best time. I wish there was an easier access point for the falls rather than shimming down the rope over the tree roots. It’s makes it difficult for some people but it’s always beautiful and clean. Our favorite campground. Love the hike to upper falls too.

Lovely campground. We arrived during a time of heavy smoke in the valleys due to wildfires and the campground was nearly vacant, so we didn’t have the problems of a popular and crowded park. The condition of the road in is our only complaint, it is terrible.

Wonderful camp hosts and very clean, quiet site. Water pump near us was not in working order but the other wasn’t too far. May have been more of a problem if we had mobility issues. Can’t wait to come back!

Our site was spacious and private, with convenient access to a water spigot and restroom facilities. The restrooms were consistently clean and well-stocked throughout our stay — a small detail that made a noticeable difference in overall comfort. The grounds were clearly well-maintained, reflecting a strong level of care from the staff.
One note for future visitors: there is no cell phone reception at the campground, so plan accordingly — you'll need to drive several miles back down the road for coverage.
Camp hosts Brittany and Christian were outstanding — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. They greeted us on arrival, walked us through the campground rules, and offered excellent tips on nearby trails and falls locations. Trails were clearly marked and easy to navigate, and Lower Lewis Falls itself lived up to its reputation as a must-see destination.
Overall, this is a well-run, beautifully located campground that we'd happily recommend. We're already planning a return visit.

One of my favorite campground experiences ever! The falls are just stunning and it is wonderful to be able to walk there. The bathrooms were clean and the sites were large and very private. The camp hosts were so friendly and helpful checking us in and cleaning up throughout our stay. I want to make an annual trip here!

From Portland or Seattle take I-5 to exit 21 for WA-503 E toward Woodland/Cougar. WA-503 will turn into FR 90, turn right at the Pine Creek Visitor Center. Lower Falls Campground will be on your right hand side after you pass mile marker 28 on FR 90.
Lower Falls Campground is accessible via I-5, taking exit 21 for WA-503 E. WA-503 transitions to FR 90 near the Pine Creek Visitor Center, leading directly to the campground.

- Bring your reservation confirmation to the campground.
- The campground opens in mid-May.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Vehicles & parking
- The road to the campground is rough; high clearance or 4WD vehicles are recommended.
Utilities
- No hookups are available at the campground.
- Electricity is not available, and cell phone reception is poor.
Fees & deposits
- The camping fee covers one vehicle and one towed vehicle; additional vehicles incur an $8.00/night fee.
Cancellation policy
- Failure to arrive by the next day incurs a $20 fee and forfeits the first night's fee.
Fires & fuel
- To protect forests, do not move firewood; obtain it near the campground.
