This place was well kept and staff was helpful and friendly. Only complaint would be with the description in the app, which is the lake isn't in the park. Must drive there. Either way would stay again.

Site 31 was really good, along the main split so we did see many cars go by but it was a holiday weekend and many people were out using the lake. Bathrooms were very clean (we didn’t use the showers so can’t attest to that but I overheard others saying the hot water wasn’t constant). My only complaint was the camp hosts did not attempt to break up a very rowdy group that was excessively loud up until 2 am. The hosts were only a couple spots down from them so there was no way they didn’t hear the commotion. During the day we walked down to the overlook and that was a nice walk on pavement. The trail around the campground was nice but doesn’t lead to the lake. No real room to ride bikes except around the campsites and for the kids it seemed to work just fine. Camp store had ice and wood, only opens in the evening time though so plan accordingly. Filling water at check in was very easy, we had zero problems with it. All in all a good experience except for the very loud, rude neighbors.

Beautifully maintained grounds on this Army Corps of Engineers property. Site (17) was easily accessed by our 34 ft trailer and provided some privacy from neighboring sites. Water filling station at check-in and easy to access dump station on exit made this a great experience. Bring firewood and any necessities as stores are about an hour away. There is a very small shop in Elk Garden that has firewood bundles ($4.50) and very minimal other stuff (good ice cream by the container). Access to the lake was limited to the boat launch due to Covid, but we plan to return when Shaw beach reopens. Music in the park got a little loud but 10pm quiet hours were adhered to.

Another great camping trip at Robert Craig and Jennings. Not only were the staff helpful and accommodating, the other campers were respectful and followed quiet times and other rules. RECOMMEND!

We had a great time. The improvements to the Sunset Trail were a great surprise and welcoming. [The new swing at the overlook]
