My son and I stayed just over night with the electric hook up, which was ok as we had water in the holding tank. But the one thing I Loved was the best night sleep I had in a long time. So peaceful ❤️

This is a bottom of the Barrel camp Ground.
The AFrame was cool to stay in but very barebones and an abandoned portapotty has filled the area and shelter with Flies.
Facilities are Dated and Bland.
The access road to afram is poorly Graded and cars will need caution traversing it.
The $100. Per night price is outlandish for such conditions.
Do not bring your Ezspectations if you go there.
Basic shelter and services...
No Charm..

Campground was clean and quiet. They only have 5 sites with power, and no water hookups, but they are all close to the bathhouse, so it was not a problem at all. Sites are roomy and very comfortable. The weekend got crazy because of bridge day, but even then it was quiet and comfortable. Jake and Kat are great hosts, and very accommodating

Had a great time tent camping here over a weekend while I was visiting New River Gorge and the surrounding state parks. I'll probably stay here again if I visit the area in the future. The facilities are quite good for the price. The showers with hot water are nice, and the "camp office" is a great place to hang out and do group activities. I can highly recommend this campground.

Closet and most budget friendly lodging option near the New River Gorge NP area. Just the basics but that was all we needed. Bathrooms were always clean and stocked. Plenty of ice and firewood for purchase. Common area and kitchen available if needed.
