I love it there. I feel that site 96 needs some work. It’s very slanted and it made it difficult to level the camper, it made getting in and out of the camper difficult because we had to jack that side up pretty high to get it level, therefore the first step was higher than usual. Besides that the stay was great!

Great campground near Summersville lake. We have always enjoyed staying here.

Being right on the lake is a plus clean showers and toilets. Quiet area, not too much traffic. Beautiful place.

Nice layout with plenty of space between sites and they were all labeled, making it easy to find our site. The facilities were clean and well maintained. There is a lot to do in the area and we will definitely be coming back.

This was the perfect place for my boys and I to escape for a few days! They swam, fished and caught lots of crayfish!

We had an opportunity to move sites and checked out of one and moved to the other. There were 3 nights left on the reservation I checked out off and I was only refunded $40 of $120! I know the policy…but the kicker is they filled the reservation within minutes of my cancellation. Doesn’t seem like the right way to do business to me. I should have just kept the other site and parked cars and boats on it! But then, that’s not the right thing to do either. There seems to be some room for improvement in that policy, especially in the electronic reservation world we live in!

Battle Run Camp Ground at Summersville Lake is an excellent vacation destination. I have been camping there for two weeks each summer for over twenty years. Staying there is the perfect family friendly experience.
The only downfall is that there are no water hookups. I don’t mind using the bathhouses as they are cleaned twice a day, but they are seriously overdo for an updates.

The campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 19, located approximately 3 miles to the east. From U.S. Highway 19, State Route 129 provides direct access to the campground.

- NO PETS or livestock permitted
- All motorized recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), utility terrain vehicles (UTV), mopeds, scooters, golf carts, hoverboards, etc., that are not licensed for use on all roadways are prohibited in the campgrounds.
- Please contact the campground or lake office for questions on power driven mobility aids
- You may stay up to 14 nights during a visit at this campground.
- No person(s) may camp at one or more campsites for more than 14 days in a 30 day consecutive period at Summersville Lake. This includes the reservation holder (primary occupant) and all other overnight occupants.
- Any person utilizing a Federal Pass for a discount on camping fees must present the discount pass upon request, it must be signed on the back of the card, be registered on the campsite, and occupy the site overnight for the entire duration of the reservation to receive the full discount.
- You may only be registered as the primary occupant at one campsite upon check-in.
- The primary occupant is responsible for the adherence to camping rules and regulations by all other occupants, guests, and visitors on the campsite.
- All trash and debris must be completely removed from the campsite upon departure.
