We love going to the lake and staying at Battle Run Campground. We have been going there for 6 years and have never had any problems. It is peaceful, clean and fun. My only complaint is not having water hook-up.

We have loved this campground for many many years and still do but we wonder how many complaints are coming in over the changes in the last 2 or 3 years?

Everything was very good EXCEPT….i would love to bring my 6 lb schnauzer but I follow the rules and get a dog sitter. However, I get really frustrated when dogs are overlooked after it’s reported that someone brought one in that is not a service dog and it barked quite often. I personally do not understand why pets can not be brought. The whole idea of camping is to bring family and my pet is my family.

Sites are in great shape. Campgrounds are clean.
My only issue was the condition of the showers in the bathhouse. Many shower heads are damaged or broken and need attention from the park’s maintenance team.

We love Battlerun and have been coming there for 34+ years. The people at the guard house are very nice. I was a little disappointed in the shower houses. They need some tile replaced and a little tlc. I realize there have been funding cuts, so I’m sure that has something to do with it. I was a little confused when I saw someone with a small dog setting outside their camper. I know the no pets rule upset a lot of people, but, it’s a rule. There was a couple riding around the campground on a side by side holding a dog on her lap.

If I am camping here, am I allowed visitors that do not stay the night even if their visit puts me over the allowed amount of 8 during their visit? I never had this problem before of all the times I have camped here. Please explain!
