Every year the facilities get more rundown yet the daily price continues to rise. The maintenance of the bathhouses is not kept up and the cleanliness of them is poor. There are many things that need to be fixed or updated. The bathhouses are not cleaned like they used to be. They used to be cleaned twice a day, now you can hardly tell if they’ve been cleaned once. Also, they have a no dog rule except for service animals yet there are tons of people who bring non-service dogs in. They also have a rule for no electric scooters yet people are flying down the street on them at all hours.

Enjoyed our stay at Battle Run Campground. Site was level and close proximity to the lake. Bath house was clean and well maintained. Had a major power outage on Saturday and camp host was very nice about relaying information to us when it would be back on again. Power went off around 6am and didn't come back til around 11pm. Not a bad site in the whole campground.

The campsites are a nice size. Easy drive to this location. However, I prefer full hook up sites. There are no full hook ups at Battle Run. The biggest complaint I have is the electric bikes running at high speeds through the campground. Speed limit for cars is 10 mph. Those bikes are traveling much faster than 10 mph. This is an issue that needs to be addressed.

Most beautiful lake in the state, maybe several states. The bath houses are really in need of being upgraded. Full hookups would also be nice. Overall a good camping trip.

We were on campsite 8. We loved it there! We booked for three days and only stay for two nights because I broke a toe. They did refund me back and that was very generous of them to do so. I actually didn’t know they did till I looked at my email that evening. The lake is absolutely beautiful. You can swim, they have a nice playground. We really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back!

It was a great stay, except for a storm. Loved lot 99, loop G, we’ve stayed there before. Perfect time to see rock climbing, and the tight rope walking.

Excellent, clean campground. Sites are a little crowded on the left side especially next to the lake.

The campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 19, located approximately 3 miles to the east. From U.S. Highway 19, State Route 129 provides direct access to the campground.

- NO PETS or livestock permitted
- All motorized recreational vehicles, including motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATV), utility terrain vehicles (UTV), mopeds, scooters, golf carts, hoverboards, etc., that are not licensed for use on all roadways are prohibited in the campgrounds.
- Please contact the campground or lake office for questions on power driven mobility aids
- You may stay up to 14 nights during a visit at this campground.
- No person(s) may camp at one or more campsites for more than 14 days in a 30 day consecutive period at Summersville Lake. This includes the reservation holder (primary occupant) and all other overnight occupants.
- Any person utilizing a Federal Pass for a discount on camping fees must present the discount pass upon request, it must be signed on the back of the card, be registered on the campsite, and occupy the site overnight for the entire duration of the reservation to receive the full discount.
- You may only be registered as the primary occupant at one campsite upon check-in.
- The primary occupant is responsible for the adherence to camping rules and regulations by all other occupants, guests, and visitors on the campsite.
- All trash and debris must be completely removed from the campsite upon departure.
