I've stayed in several campgrounds this one charges way to much considering the pool wasn't open from May 27th until l left on May 31st, the electric was off one night for over 8 hours and don't try to call anyone from 0900 to 1700hrs because no one is in the office and if you leave a message they never return your call. They have an antique putt putt golf that they charge 9.00 a person which is ridiculous, they also have an ice cream store and charge more than Dairy Queen and did l mention most all of the lots have zero shade so in my opinion its a big NO for me to ever stay there again đ

Great place to stay, family and dog friendly. There is plenty of wildlife to enjoy. Love fishing or just enjoying a nice leisurely boat ride around the lake. All kinds of places to venture to and sightsee. It's literally in the middle of everything you got it all!!!!!

What I saw apon my arrival did not match the pictures on website. It was raining just misty and overcast would have been a great stay but muddy campsite muddy roads. Left very disappointed had to go to a carwash and remove the mud off my camper.

Spots are small but gravel with nice fire pits. No amenities at all, but for the price, bring your own. Self-service and that was okay. Very little to no cell service at all. Tons of wildlife and good roads. Nice views. We had a local rent a dog while camping here. Apparently she makes friends with all campers.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Have camped here for years and the owner has ran off most of the staff and is extremely rude to customers. Have used them for storage of my camper and in my agreement it says only those individuals I have listed on the contract will have access to my camper while stored. They leave the gate open and unlocked all the time and I had stuff stolen off my camper while in storage.
Today they called to tell me my reservation later this month (thatâs been booked for over a year) isnât going to be available. They offered me another site only to then tell me it was actually already booked. They would not issue an actual refund and would only offer a credit to my account even though itâs their fault my reservation has to be cancelled. When I said that was unacceptable and told the owner Iâd be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau she said call the governor if you wantâŠI DONâT CARE and hung up.
UPDATE in response to the ownerâs comments below: The storage agreement specifically states that only authorized individuals will have access to items in storage. Whatâs to keep someone from driving off with a camper in your care?
As for the cancellation, that wasnât my choice and it also was outside the 14 days (even though your reply said otherwise). I spent $1,400 on reservation fees alone last year not including any additional items (such as firewood, ice, shirts, putt putt, etc.) purchased from the campground. If youâve been aware of âongoing water issuesâ at the site then maybe actually fix the issue. The only fairness in any of the policies of Mountain Lake Campground is the greed that the owners have rather than spending money to actually fix things. This place has gone down hill drastically this year so itâs no wonder most of the staff left and they canât keep people on staffâŠwho wants to work for someone like that!
