The lengthy road leading up to the campground was difficult due to so many pot holes. The campground and camp sites were well maintained. The camp hosts were very nice and pleasant. There is absolutely no cell service anywhere at this campground. There is a nice little store with a few provisions like icecream.

We have camped here for years and love it because it’s not that far from home and we can run back and fourth to feed our animals but for about 4 years now we keep getting told that they are going to pave the road into the camp ground and through the camp ground but it hasn’t been done but this year was different the pot holes are way worse it is so bad that you can’t pull your blue boy to empty your water without knocking the lid off and so we cut our trip short due to how bad the road was and I will not bring my camper back there until it is fixed if you don’t go super slow it will blow your tires out and the spot I had there was a guy with two Great Dane dogs fenced in around his camper when he left he left a mess I had to clean up and had to get cedar chips from Walmart to kill the smell and I reported it to the guard shack and they said they would notify the ranger the guy moved behind the store and fenced them in again but nothing was done about it not even a ranger spoke with me I had guest there for the 4th of July and you couldn’t even eat out side for the smell of those huge dogs I am a dog lover have dogs of my own that stay home but if they were with me I would clean the mess not leave it for someone else so this was a bad experience I think we will start camping in kty since wv is so bad they can’t fix there roads 😡🤷🏻♂️

Areas 1,2,and 3 were beautiful and perfectly maintained. However our recent stay was on site 111 in area 4. East Fork campground is our go to place to stay. We love going there. We stayed on site 111 for the week of July 4. The entire area 4 seemed to be neglected this year. The sites were dirty. Our site was covered in about 3 inches of mud that we spent hours the first day cleaning up. There was trash strewn around the site. The bathroom was dirty. It was only cleaned once a day when the trash service people cleaned it. There wasn’t any dog bags available. The area 4 host allowed their dog to roam around not on leash. When we talked to this camp host about how dirty our site was he said “I don’t do manual labor.” We do not recommend staying on area 4 of East Fork Campground (WV) as long as this person is the host. He was rarely seen at his assigned area.

The road going into camp is awful which made it difficult to even go to the swimming hole or out to the store. If not careful you will bust a tire. Other then the road and the rain we had a great time.

PARK ROADS ARE DANGEROUSLY POT HOLE RIDDLED!
This is something that needs to be posted on the Facebook Page and the listing on Rec.gov. People need to know they can pop tires (spoke to someone who did). This is a VERY popular park with the locals. We were one of a the few from out of state. THE WORST COE PARK ROADS WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. And we are on an 81 day trip, primarily COE parks.

This campground is a family favorite. With water and electric hook ups at every sight, clean bath houses, a store and play grounds for the kids it doesn't get much better. The location is far out, and without wifi (the store will sell you a code) you have no cell service which is exactly why I love this place so much. The lake is very clean, they have a marina and a beach! Not to mention they rent kayaks canoes and kneeboardsall with paddles. East fork campground is our favorite place, our kids can be kids and our world is slowed down giving us a much needed break. ❤ make sure to get a shaded spot by viewing the spot on the website!!!! 15/10!!!!!

I have the fondest memories of camping at East Lynn growing up. I have continued the tradition into my adulthood. The restrooms were kept so clean and the host and other personnel went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I love this little campground and try to spend part of my vacation there each year. The only negative thing that I have to say is that they need help getting their roadway fixed. The holes are absolutely ridiculous. This is outside their control. They are doing everything they can. They need help. This is a federal park. Something is wrong. Whom ever is in charge of this needs to address this situation. It is dangerous and someone/their property is going to get damaged. Then there will be lawsuits. Trying to be supportive here.
