Perfect spot for camping!! There are kids playgrounds at every loop. A sandy beach area for swimming, fishing anywhere and boating. Also, you’ll get plenty of relaxation. Every restroom / bathhouse is clean and cleaned daily. The people working and staying there are friendly and respectful. Only 15 minutes from Flatwoods. We’ve camped at a few different places and this is by far the best. We will be returning for family vacation every year from now on and that’s the kids talking!!!

The WiFi is not strong enough to run simple things. I had a work obligation and had to drive to flat woods to take care of it.

The campground volunteers are fabulous. They were amazing at the various activities and very friendly.
We loved the church service. It was so nice to attend a service even though we were not at home with our regular church. The congregation was made up of campers and volunteers. Nothing formal, but definitely spirit led.
The facilities are kept very clean. The campground is typically peaceful and quiet.
Wish there was some bike trails but with the beautiful lake, they aren’t missed much.

Excellent waterfront site on FCFS basis. Swam right in front of the site. The check in host was a darling and very helpful, where other parks are lucky to have anyone at the gate. She let us drive though and see the available sites before picking one. Which is very rare these days!

Great destination camping. No cell service but they offer wifi for a fee. You just need to be close to the bathhouse for reception.

I want to rate Bulltown Camp even higher than a 5 star. The campground itself is lovely and sits at the edge of Burnsville lake. The Campground is managed extremely well by Core of Engineers. We unfortunately have had a strange set of next site neighbors on this last camping trip. The next RV site felt it was appropriate to tie their dogs and one with an injury, out under a canopy on the common access part of our reserved site and install a dog run inches, from our RV. The neighbors also limited the community access to lake shore and boat docking access, thru their actions as well as blocking a trail head.. However, even though most , of this behavior happened after normal business hours, both Park Rangers and the Campground Host handled the moving of inappropriate canopy and dog run within minutes of the start of the inappropriate neighbor behaviors! The Park Rangers and Host continued to closely monitor the next door RV site throughout our stay, so we we were not adversely & negatively impacted by the next RV site's strange and inappropriate choice of public behavior!!!! Thank you for handling this in a professional and competent manner. We will continue to list Bulltown as a favorite campground in West Virginia!!
