Battle Run Campground is highly praised for its beautiful location near Summersville Lake, well-maintained facilities, and friendly atmosphere. Many visitors enjoy the clean bathhouses, spacious sites, and abundance of activities available, making it a great family-friendly destination. Wonderful, quiet campground. Would recommend drying the bath house floors after mopping though - water stands on those floors for hours making it very slippery especially for elderly folks.

Everything was great. The only thing was that the grass was so long we didn't want to walk through it for fear of chiggers.

Campground was nice enough. Some campsites very close together in pretty crowded loops. Slope from campsite to lake was steep. Due to a medical situation, we had to depart 2 days early. We left during their window of time that the check out station was open, but no one was there. We left our car tag with a note that we’d checked out early with date and time. According to the cancellation/early departure policy, when checking out before checkout time, one can do an early checkout and get a refund. We have not received any acknowledgment of our early departure.

Need daytime ranger support. Folks next to us unsanitary kept urinating outside the RV and in the morning I saw them pouring about a third of a five gallon bucket of pre in the lake. I left early because of that

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds on the east cost the sites are very well laid out and if you book early there are plenty nice spots overlooking Summersville lake.

We were there after Labor Day so it was very sparsely populated. Very nice park with nice facilities! We would definitely go back.
