What Guests Are Saying
Gerald Freeman Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, cleanliness, and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a favorite among visitors who appreciate nature and peace. Many enjoy the well-maintained sites, easy access to water activities, and helpful staff. However, there are some concerns about high grass, inconsistent maintenance of facilities, lack of WiFi, and limited cell service, which some feel detracts from the overall experience.

The website made it look like these 2 sites were riverfront; however, when we arrived to the campsites neither one was riverfront sites. We were really disappointed because we had kayaks that we wanted to put in at the campsites as well as sites we wanted to be able to fish from at any given time. I will further research campsites next year if we decide to come back. Overall camp was clean but the bathrooms were nasty and our sites had not been mowed in awhile so grass was tall.

Great campground the roads into the campground, a little curvy, but it was worth it

August was our first time at GF. The park is beautiful. We tied out our Kayaks to the edge of our site (down the bank), and had them out everyday! We will definitely be back! It would be great if the leash rule was enforced. The entire week we had neighbors that let their dogs run loose.

Beautiful campground. We always stay in the black bear loop on the river side. Sites are spacious with plenty of room to stake out our two dogs in the front yard. Normally the site is full hookups but we were without electric when we arrived but came back on early next morning. We were without water for about 24 hours. Whe water came back on was brown. I would recommend bringing a full tank of fresh water just in case. Stayed 5 days and did enjoy otherwise.
