What Guests Are Saying
Gerald Freeman Campground is a beautiful and peaceful destination, well-loved for its family-friendly atmosphere, clean facilities, and scenic surroundings, including easy access to water for fishing and kayaking. Many campers appreciate the relaxed environment and friendly staff, making it a favorite spot for repeat visitors. However, there are some concerns about the maintenance of the grass and bathhouses, as well as the need for better Wi-Fi and more full hook-up sites.

The grounds could have used some attention.
The grounds needs refreshed They just look tired and used (visit with fresh set of eyes)
State park grounds much better maintained
The contractor, I assume, came thru park but did not pick up trash that was hanging etc
The playground had several cans/bottles wrappers the kids had thrown down. I cleaned everything up only to go back next day with more liter Not sure how you combat this but get message out to parents
Road bad in two places.
4th of July weekend and no activities

Campground was very clean and grass was mowed. We did have a bad storm with electric going out for almost 24 hours but hey, we are camping ❣️

Be advised: neighbors in a large group partied all night long - drinking alcohol, blasting music, using profane language, and jumping into the lake until 6:00 am. Think twice if you want an enjoyable and quiet camping experience - especially as this campground is advertised as a “family campground”. Never in my life have I ever witnessed such blatant disrespect for everyone else in the campground, and on top of that, did not see the host once. Since nobody reprimanded the folks that were partying, I’m sure they’ll be back… but we most definitely will never return.
