Hopkins Mountain Fireman's Cabin offers a beautiful, serene getaway with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for nature lovers. The cabin is well-stocked and clean, featuring ample firewood and basic amenities, making it a comfortable stay. What a gem they have here. Easy road access, electricity, cell phone service, remoteness, and the views are spectacular. The beds suck if you are 6'4", but we made do. Take a small dolley if you have heavy stuff to carry to cabin. Pit toilet can and did splash up on the bum once, so consider yourself warned.

Blue Bend camping area is a beautiful place that I can't wait to return to in the spring!

Bear hunters hung around the gate both days just sitting in there trucks as the dogs chased bear past us while we hunted deer right behind the cabin. Nothing illegal, just a personal distaste for the behavior. It did scare up a large bear that ran right past one of us.

This is an amazing location to get away and decompress from the daily hustle and bustle. Very remote and private with an AMAZING view over the valley; yet close enough to several towns for shopping. Lots and lots of local activities to be had as well. The shower house in the campground below is well kept and has warm showers, the camp ground hosts and rangers are all very friendly, and the swimming hole is beautiful. Will definitely come back year after year.

This is a fantastic Historic Cabin campsite. All the primary amenities of an off grid cabin with wonderful views on top of the mountain. Not too far from Lewisburg and White Sulphur Springs, but plenty far off the beaten path. Firewood was chopped and the cabin was clean. A wonderful spot to relax and take in what the Monongahela National Forest has to offer.
