I’ve been coming to bear lake for 12 years now and it never disappoints. Hands down Wisconsin’s best campground. The walk in sites are especially nice and private with each site having direct access to the lake. The lake is clean and great to float around in and listen to the resident loon family. Bring your kayak, paddleboard or non motorized boat and park it right by your site.

Bear Lake is a lovely campground.
Pretty lake -- I could canoe directly from my site.
Nice facilities -- the toilets were new and clean and had adequate TP and the hand pumps provided nice cold water.
A welcoming campground host -- I asked him where to get wood when I first arrived and he just gave me some as well as giving me directions as to where I could buy some for the next couple of nights.
The Campground is also located right along the Rat River Recreational trail for folks who want to bike or hike.
Many sites are reservable and you get all this for $15/night.

Campground host was very helpful and friendly. He really kept the place clean. The only bad thing was there was no cell phone coverage there, would have been nice to know if/when the rain was going to stop. Campsites have plenty of under growth between each other, very private, nice.

First off, this site is beautiful! Restrooms weren't as clean as other Colorado camping Restrooms but they were adequate. There were several mice and chipmunk at our camp site. The Indian Trail hike was easy and had phenomenal views. Turn right at the fork and go up the mountain to the top. It was very much worth the hike.
