What Guests Are Saying
Laura Lake Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained site, featuring spacious campsites and a serene atmosphere. While the advertised bike and hiking trails were overgrown and not usable, the campground itself remains clean and picturesque, with friendly pit toilets and occasional 5G Wi-Fi access. Some maintenance issues, including road disrepair and noise from nearby campers, were noted, but overall, visitors appreciated the rustic charm and tranquility of the location.

This is our new favorite campground! The campground gets 5 stars. Plenty of privacy between sites. We floated on the lake, paddled around it, hiked the lake trails, enjoyed the loons, biked on the trails and local roads, and simply enjoyed the solitude. Verizon service was poor at best...which made the trip even better!
6 stars to the hosts, Carl and Sharon! Take a fantastic campground, add hosts that care and work hard to keep things top notch and you have the winning combo! We'll be back.

Allowing generators to run until 10 PM is annoying. Most campers are considerate enough to shut them down early in the day but there are those few that can really upset the ambiance of such a quiet place. Carl and Sharon are excellent hosts. They are friendly and do a great job keeping the toilets very clean. They seem to have also taken on some of the tasks that the Forest Service used to do, such as keeping track of reservations. A big thanks to them.

We enjoyed our stay. The campgrounds and more importantly the bathrooms were very clean. Visitors were friendly and respectful. We hiked the 2 mile trail around the lake which was nice. Good fishing and spectacular views from our lakeside site.

Laura Lake is one of the best campgrounds in northern Wisconsin. The sites are great with lots of room between sites. The camp hosts are great to work with and be with.

My family has been going to Laura Lake campground for a long time and it's always a first pick for camping season. The camp sites and toilet huts are always tidy. There are firewood-sellers nearby in case you need any. Love that we can bring our dogs with us. The town of Armstrong has a decent convenient store in case you need something without traveling very far. The lake is beautiful and it's a joy walking the trail by the water.
