Stayed over for a night on our way back from canoeing... we were only there for 12 hours but from the minute we parked i was thoroughly impressed. Rain had washed out some of the tent sites and even before we got their they knew this and had other options planned for us. Even at that the "washed out" site we opted to keep was nicer than our typical sites we stay in. We like state/county/national in part for the privacy, the tent sites here still provide that private feel while offering an ABUNDANCE of permanent play options for kids of all ages and a thorough list of events.
We did not have the kids with us this time, but this may be the first commercial campground we return to just to be able to bring the kids with.
