A quiet and peaceful campgrounds. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Grounds clean and fun to walk around the grounds on the paths and road.

We were in site 49 in mid July with a 34 ft. 5th wheel and had a really hard time getting our rig into the spot. There are deep ditches on both sides of a narrow road with limited turning capability. Had it not been for the family camping directly across from us that was able to assist on all four corners of the vehicle we would not have been able to get setup. Once we got into camp it went a little smoother. The camp is extremely clean and all three camp hosts were very pleasant and helpful, to the point of loaning us a honey pot to dump with. We ultimately cut our trip short and moved camp to a private campground about 5 miles away - still on the lake - because of the bugs. The entire campground is set deep in the woods and there is no escaping the flies and mosquitoes that swarm every time you step outside. There was nothing wrong with the campground - the showers were old but in good shape and clean. Same for the bathrooms. Water was available and easily accessible, it was simply the level of bugs that finally did it for us. We moved to a campground on the lake but it was in an open field and voila, no bugs. If bugs don’t bug you then this campground will be fine and we would have stayed had it been September or October but it was mid July and they were having a heyday with us.

The campground provided the barest of necessities. It was very disappointing. There was one women's toilet for the whole loop, and a pay shower. I mean one toilet...not one building. No soap or sanitizer and no way to dry our hands. There was a pay shower. The campsites were roomy and wooded, but not very level and there wasn't much vegetation shielding them from each other, so no privacy. The men's restroom also had one toilet and no urinal. Also a pay shower. The lake was shallow and weedy, and there was no way to access the lake without walking a long way. The fishing pier was ok, but it was in a very shallow weedy area as well. There was very iffy tv reception and spotty cell service. T-mobile doesn't work there at all. The fire pits were the best I've ever seen anywhere and the picnic tables looked new. The camp hosts were all very friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful park. When we were there it was sparsely populated.
