Site P39 (electric) was very well maintained. Short walk to water (flowage). Plenty of space and not too close to other sites. Plenty wooded! Could have had better signage for how to get to the two separate beaches and fishing pier. I wouldn’t necessarily call them “beaches” as there was no sand and you could tell they have not been maintained or up-kept in quiet some time. Quiet campground. Would definitely be back.

Beautiful with plenty of privacy. We had a site just a few steps (60 yds) from the water. Nice, new paved roads throughout. Well marked and easy to find. Host was always around but left us alone.
The only negative were all of the bath houses. One stall, one shower only. If you had to "go" or wanted to take a shower, depending on the time of day you're waiting. Nothing worse then a warm "t" seat :)

We enjoyed our time at the Chippewa campground and met some wonderful folks. The campground has a lot of potential but seems to be missing that wow factor that would make it a great place. Camp hosts were non existent broken toilets, uncollected garbage, less than clean showers. Seemed that there might be some long term, longer than allowed campers there as well

Very nice wooded campsites but we did have a bit of an issue backing into the campsites. We stayed in the Beaver loop sites 22 & 23. The road in this loop is narrow with ditches on the sides and the culverts on the edge of the road going into the campsites do not extend far enough past the entrance making it difficult to back your camper in without going off the culvert/driveway. So even though the site says it fits a 40-50 ft camper it is difficult to back in because of the limited space on the road and the length of the culverts. Bathrooms could use some upgrades but they were clean and you are camping so not a deal breaker.

We really like coming to this campground. The cost is very affordable and it’s a beautiful and well-maintained rustic campground in the woods.
