What Guests Are Saying

Chippewa Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and clean facilities. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, wooded campsites and the variety of activities available, including fishing and exploring nature. However, some guests expressed disappointment with the condition of the swimming beach and fishing pier, as well as the need for improved maintenance in certain areas. Overall, it remains a popular choice for campers, with many planning to return.

Due to vehicle problems, unable to use reservation, asked for a parcel refund, they kept all my money

I stayed at Chequamagon National Forest Bass S45 with my dog for 5 nights with a t 18ft. Tear Drop travel trailer with a side tent. The site was very nice, quiet located near showers and toilets. The campground hosts were helpful and friendly. Millar Dam is close by for shore fishing as well as locations around the campground bordering lake. we did have a several days of heavy rain, wind and did have water pooling in the camp site and around the side tent. A previous review mentioned similar water pooling for this site but Mother Nature does test us when it comes with extensive precipitation. I will go back and S43, S44 or S45 will be my choices

There were a lot of trees and we drove in on a quiet very rainy day. There was just a few people camping but the next morning when the sun was shining we could see a very nice campground on a big lake. We will definitely stay here again.

Overall the campground was beautiful. The showers worked with good water pressure but could use a bit of maintenance (cosmetic).

The only downfall, we had to travel to the closet town for firewood. You couldnt buy any at campground, but you could cut your own from downed trees.

Sites could use some gravel work and some tree trimming throughout the entire park but other than that great park!

It was a great camping site. Unfortunately, it was very hot, and we left early because of health reasons. But we plan on coming back next summer.
