Chippewa Campground is highly praised for its peaceful, well-maintained environment, spacious and private sites, and excellent facilities, including clean bathrooms and showers. Many campers enjoy the variety of amenities, such as biking paths, a playground, and good fishing opportunities. While some guests noted challenges like bugs during wet conditions and difficulties with site accessibility, the overall sentiment is positive, with many planning to return year after year.

This is our favorite campground. Camp hosts are great, sites are large and even if full it's is so peaceful and quiet. One complaint is you are not charging for electric in bass loop. Would be more than happy to pay for it, and with that maybe some work, improvements could be done, such as new or additional gravel etc that many of the sites really need. Especially with the rain the area gets.

Chippewa is nicely remote, with generous spacing between sites, but otherwise appears under-cared for. The coin-operated showers are not terribly clean, the water supplies are limited and not well marked, firewood is fairly remote, and we found very little hiking anywhere nearby. There was a very nice section of the Ice Age Trail about 30 minutes away, but that was the closest activity other than ATV trails or boating.

Beautiful, well-maintained campground. Very quiet. Appreciated the 50 amp electric. Difficult to level a big rig but manageable Good hiking through the park. Made a trip to our favorite cheese shop from here, Marieke Gouda

had to listen to a blasting generator at night {which is quiet time} for 13 hours for 4 days which started at 8 pm every night and stopped at 9am the next day and the same generator was on for at least 4 hours everyday to watch tv then the next people came in and they had their music so loud My wife had us leave for about 3 hours and the real kicker is the hosts didn't care. i go camping that week to relax not to listen to loud music and generators for as much as we pay to stay there it should be quiet

This campground was quiet and off the beaten path. Camp hosts, Terry and Sue, were very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were fairly clean and showers were hot but kind of expensive at $1 a token to get 5 minutes or $2 to get 10 minutes. Not much in the way of activities so bring bikes, fishing poles, or kayaks. Overall it was a great experience and we would come back.

Beaches and piers were poorly maintained. The water was filled with blue algae. Rusted bars/trash was scattered in the park, along with broken glass. Showers were outdated and needed maintenance. There was no posting for the cost of shower tokens. This was a terrible experience and such a disappointment.

The sites are nice and long and private. Lots of shade and quiet atmosphere. I was on a lake access site #43. I was able to put my kayak in the water here, but it was a bit difficult. The access to the water was very small and narrow, surrounded by tall grass and uneven ground.
Overall, this was a great campground to be at to get away from it all. Thank you!
