What Guests Are Saying
Grant River Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with stunning views of the Mississippi River and beautiful sunsets. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendly atmosphere, as well as the proximity to charming towns like Potosi. However, the frequent train traffic nearby can be disruptive for some campers, especially at night.

Loud trains close, mostly ran at evening and night (all night long) and required whistle blows are loud. Close to destinations we wanted to visit, nice campground. We chose a concrete pad, and it was fairly level.

Very nice campground. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Really close to the train tracks, but we enjoyed watching them. Got used to the noise very quickly. Fun watching the barges on the river too. We have US Cellular and had pretty much no service. We also had zero TV stations.

Very nice campground. Lots of trees and grass. Right on the Mississippi River. We heard cows and trains a lot. Both of which we enjoy so wasn’t a problem for us.

Sandy at check-in is so helpful and patient. The park is beautiful and the view is spectacular. God’s creation is incredible and its beauty is found here.

Our first time here and we were disappointed. We felt that the campsites were WAY too close to one another. Otherwise, we felt the campground was very clean, nice setting except for the trains going by frequently. Appreciate the good set up at the dump station. Also the availability of drinking water around the campground was definitely an asset.

Facilities were great, clean, hot showers, beautiful, and fairly priced! The trains rolling thru frequently made a poor night's sleep! The river was very low and weedy...not the campground's fault! Probably won't be back because of the train noise.

This campground is beautiful and well-maintained but a train runs VERY close by and came by often. All night trains ran through blaring their horns. We did not rest well. If you’re staying here, pack ear plugs.

Beautiful place
Clean
Very nice people
Some of the trains (and there are many) could chill on the extra long horn signals. There is no traffic and the lights and barrier on the road are very abvious to all.
