Pole Creek Cabin

This is our third visit to Pole Creek Cabin. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and abundance of hiking possibilities. Part of the magic is not having cell service and that lends to more quality time with your people and animals. Please take plenty of water and stay hydrated and always plan for every type of weather.

The cabin is looking great, getting some love!

Love this cabin! I try to get to it once or twice a year. I really appreciate how well the FS and the community of renters keep it clean and cared for. I've learned that the cabin is so well insulated, that I have the best luck opening the cabin door to get the fire going in the stove

I like the cabin, it was very clean. The area has alot of wildlife, although I didn't see any this particular day, oh I did see what I think is a pine marten.

We have stayed at the Pole Creek Cabin several times. This time was a 4 night stay. The Forest Service spent some time cleaning and making some improvements to the site this summer, which was great! The gravel around the fire pit area was a major improvement in my opinion. I reccommend bringing plenty of water and some of your own cleaning supplies (Especially disposable gloves for cleaning the bathroom). The descriptions says cleaning supplies are supplied but every time we've stayed there hasn't been much. The only complaint I have is the people that left the day we checked in had left the fire going in the fire pit - NOT OK. Thank goodness we got there when we did to keep an eye on it, as it was very dry and the wind picked up in the afternoon. Please take enough water to put out your fires.
