What Guests Are Saying

South Fork Campground is highly praised for its clean facilities, attentive camp host, and beautiful location near the creek, making it ideal for exploring the Bighorn Mountains. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained trails, and the relaxing sound of the nearby stream. While some noted that campsites are close together and that fire pits could be better maintained, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Deb, the Host, was amazing and very helpful! The toilets were the cleanest I have ever experienced in a campground setting and the campground itself was very well kept up. Great experience!

I selected site 003 for camping. It was nestled between the drinkable water faucet, bathroom (but not too close where it was disturbing) and a healthy stream. With every campsite, there was a good picnic table (plastic), pole to hold things high, fire ring, and prepping table. The walk-to sites were not very far off the road. Perhaps one city block to the farthest.

Great trails and hikes connected to the campsite, as well as in the surrounding area.

The campsite was perfect and very clean. Each of the tent sites are a good distance from each other; and you can walk to the creek easily from each site. There is a little extra foot traffic from people walking through the tent area to the hiking trail. but it was nice to see and chat with a few folks. The pump and vault toilet was very clean, and the host was extremely nice and helpful.
