What Guests Are Saying
Hunter Peak is a tranquil and beautiful campground by the Clark’s Fork River, making it an excellent base for exploring trails near Cooke City and Yellowstone National Park. While the narrow roads can make backing into sites challenging, the surroundings are serene and well-maintained. Campers appreciate the non-invasive hosts and the stunning natural beauty of the area.

The site that he had reserved was actually too small for our camper, although our camper is only 27'. We were able to switch to another site, #8 which was much better. We loved the campground and hope we can return again to stay longer. It was beautiful and quiet and we enjoyed the the river running through it.

Clean and quiet. Campground host does an excellent job of signing to let you know what spot are available and when.
Fishing was poor.

Very clean 10 site campground. Some road noise with busy weekend traffic. The campground host is doing an excellent job. I found it to be a great location to car camp while doing day hikes in the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness.

This is an awesome campground and the host is great. good location for hiking either up or down the hwy. Clark's fork was a season high. no fishing unless one moved to still water. the water pump on the downriver end of camp is not working. outhouse is very clean but there was no hand sanitizer. there was no fire wood to purchase so people should get elsewhere or go foraging. we will plan to stay there in the future.
