What Guests Are Saying
Hunter Peak is a tranquil and beautiful campground by the Clark’s Fork River, making it an excellent base for exploring trails near Cooke City and Yellowstone National Park. While the narrow roads can make backing into sites challenging, the surroundings are serene and well-maintained. Campers appreciate the non-invasive hosts and the stunning natural beauty of the area.

This campsite is a little close to the highway, but the stream running through it drowns out any highway noise very nicely. Beautiful setting.

Hunters Peak is a small quite campground that is easy to access and well laid out.. Longer trailers have little trouble getting into some campsites but other are fine.
Depending on certain times of the year the mosquitos can be an issue (it was a rainy year last year).
Overall I really like it.

Some of the camp sites are very tight to get a 30 ft fifth wheel trailer into. Camp host is very helpful and friendly! Fishing is close by but the mosquitoes can be to much at times!
