This was a great stop before going into Yellowstone. No issues with a 37’ Class A towing a Jeep. Ever even had to unhook. Very quiet, I would stay again.

This is a fabulous campsite near the East entrance to Yellowstone NP, however the website and rec.gov list it as having electric hookups and water available. They really should tell you to bring your camper full of water because the available water they have does not allow you to hook up your hose. So you have to have a bunch of empty gallon jugs that you fill, then get a funnel and pour the gallons in 1 by 1 !
Other than that I would have given the place a 5 *
We will go there again and make sure that our water tank is full before arrival.

Nice campground. The sites are spread out enough that you don't see everyone in the loop.

Our mid-September reservations were in site 26. The site was fine but really shady (cold) and closed in, so we opted to take the first-come-first-serve across the way (site 27). A "double-site", it was sunny and open (probably really hot in the summer), but since it was cooling in September, it was super nice. The cost was double, but with the Senior pass, it was a reasonable splurge. This campground seems to be a little tight, but space between most sites are generous. There is a nice (moderate) hike across the small bridge which follows along the river. I gave this campground 4 stars but I'd definitely stay here again. It has a longer season, some shade, and protection from the wind. There is fair amount of road noise that we tuned out after a while, but still a bummer.

The campground was lovely but it was the last day it was open. Unfortunately that meant all the trash receptacles were locked.
