What Guests Are Saying

Rex Hale campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites and friendly camp host, Tom, who is noted for his helpfulness and attentiveness. The campground offers a peaceful and picturesque outdoor experience, with convenient amenities such as water and electricity at some sites. While there are only vault toilets, they are clean and well-kept, and the location provides easy access to Yellowstone's east entrance.

We loved Rex Hale campground. Not only was this campground BEAUTIFUL and very scenic, it was extremely well maintained. The Host was gracious, friendly and conscientious. I can't say enough good things about the HOST. He's a keeper! The campsites were neat and clean, and the Vault Toilets were absolutely spotless. This campground is nestled in a little canyon, and the view inside the campground is spectacular. Some sites with water and electric, which was convenient. I'd give 10 stars if I could. It's just too bad that this campground is switching to "First Come, First Served in the future, because it is guaranteed to be difficult to get into in the future. Highly recommended!

Was a good location to visit Yellowstone. Not at all crowed.nce and helpful camp host. We had reservations but not for all of our stay. We were able to move our reservation to just one site. The site even had electricity. Rex Hale can be windy. We would recommend Rex Hale.

Great campground very close to the east entrance of Yellowstone. Extremely quiet, beautiful scenery, the camp host was friendly and I enjoyed talking to him about his former trucking career. There are only vault toilets but if you really need plumbing, there is a rest stop a short drive towards Cody.

Beautiful location and site. We saw a golden eagle nest on the canyon wall. Amazing. Campsite was quiet and clean. Will definitely camp there again.

Love the fact that it’s not far from Yellowstone east entrance. Water and electricity a big plus since Yellowstone doesn’t offer it
