We really enjoy camping in the Shoshone Forest campgrounds. They are nice areas and near a nice area for a drive. Also close to Yellowstone for good day trips.

Being near the river was so beautiful. The bridge/path over the river was fun for our boys and it was a lovely, quiet and peaceful campground. The shade and privacy between campsites was great. We used it as a base camp to go into Cody, WY for one day and to go into Yellowstone Grand Canyon for a second day. We love National Parks, Forests and Campgrounds!

The hosts we're friendly, the site was spacious and private and the vault toilets were very clean. We loved our stay at Wapiti and will stay again when we are back this way. It's convenient to Yellowstone and Cody. As expected, no cell service. Walks across the bridge every evening were very nice. The scenery around the campground is magnificent!

Very nice campground. The water faucets where you can get fresh water didn’t have threads to screw on your hose so you had to hold the hose the whole time trying to fill water tank. The sites were nice but some on the south side were real close to the highway so we had some noise but the Shoshone River sounds shut out a lot of it. I will definitely be going back.

My site was next to the river, it was a lovely sound to fall asleep to. Nice hikes, and between Cody and YNP. Local outfitters provide horseback rides in the area.
