Quite and clean campground. Camp sites are not very deep. Not sure how they measure depth for listing online but plan smaller. Lucerne Campground was the same.

Buckboard Crossing offers clean restrooms and showers, friendly and helpful camp hosts, and beautiful views, making it a pleasant place for camping. While some sites may lack shade and have uneven ground, many guests appreciated the spaciousness and cleanliness of the campground. However, issues like rough roads, limited power spots, and maintenance concerns were noted, suggesting room for improvement.

Our pad was very unlevel front to back and side to side which made leveling a challenge so we could use our slides etc.. The area was invested with Miller moths which somehow invaded our motorhome (and the camp restrooms) by the dozens. We are still finding them in our motorhome a week later. High winds blew nonstop during the day. The nearby Sheeprock geological loop was fantastic!

They have showers there which was great and their bathrooms were clean. We also loved having full electrical in our spot. FYI, there are limited spots with power.

We had a great stay with beautiful views of the sunset. The site was nice and level and the bath house was clean with good water pressure. The staff was super friendly.

Campsites are ok. Dead grass or just dirt. Really needs some sprinklers. Trees overgrown or dying. Definitely needs some tlc. Roads are rough with potholes. For the price I would expect a better kept place. Was ok but I would not recommend.

We stayed in site A24 with a 31 ft travel trailer. There was plenty of room for the trailer and our four door long bed pickup truck. The electrical power was clean, according to our Power Watchdog. The showers and bathrooms were clean and quite nice. We fished on Flaming Gorge on our kayaks, drove the Sheep Creek Geological Loop (great geology and great views), went to the Red Canyon Visitor Center (epic views), Flaming Gorge dam, the Sweetwater County Museum (excellent), and Expedition Island. Probably should have stayed five nights instead of three!

We had a wonderful stay here! Finding the campground was a breeze, and leveling our camper was completely hassle-free. We lucked out and had all of Loop B entirely to ourselves, and with only one other camper over in Loop A, it made for an incredibly quiet and restful night. The absolute highlight of our morning was watching an osprey eat a freshly caught fish while perched in a tree right outside our window!
Right when we arrived, the camp host stopped by to welcome us, check in, and share some helpful local tips. The bathrooms and showers were also clean and very well-maintained. Just a quick heads-up to watch your step, as there were some cow dung scattered around the camping areas. Though the water levels seemed quite low during our visit, we thoroughly enjoyed driving down the county road to check out the dispersed camping spots and scenic overlooks. It’s a beautiful, spacious area that we highly recommend!
