What Guests Are Saying
Sugarloaf Campground offers a beautiful location with clean, well-spaced sites that include picnic tables and good tent pads. It features stunning views, especially during sunrises and sunsets, and is conveniently located near several hiking trails. However, campers should come prepared for windy and cold conditions, as well as the absence of firewood.

Review Summary
Jon O
VerifiedAugust 6, 2023 • Stayed at: 10, Loop:
Great campground location @ 10,500 feet with easy access to hiking trails, picnic areas, and cycling (if you like hill rides). Seventeen campsites including 4 first-come sites, which go quickly. It can be windy and wet (we had showers 6 out of 8 days), but we were were always able to get our hike or bike ride completed before the afternoon showers arrived. The hike to Medicine Bow Peak is steep but well worth the effort and the wildflowers along all of the trails were incredible (July 26 - Aug 03). If you like to bicycle, the Scenic Byway is a great way to start the day.
