Horseshoe Bend Campground

Water and electric at sites with a pump out station. Sparse vegetation with one or two trees in the entire campground so it was extremely hot in July. The sites themselves are very nice, most with a small patio and an overhead shade structure.
The boat launch area has some large trees with picnic tables, a view of the lake, and a pleasant breeze. There is also a campground store . I'd wait for the cooler months. We left a day early because it was forecast to reach 107° . Spring and fall would be better times to visit .

Snow in the big horns drove us to the low country to this reservoir adjacent campground Very windy spot, no trees for shade. Some of the sites do have shade structures over the picnic tables. Some electric and water hookups , which was great for us. No internet no cell service. Drive to get cell service is about ten minutes.

Mid June, only about 10% full.I'm guessing it fills up a lot if the reservoir is higher and it's closer to midsummer.

Camp hosts very helpful.

I mentioned the no cell service because someone came in.After us with a reservation , but they could not access their email to get the campsite number. Campground was not full , so they were able to choose their own campsite and get a really nice spot. All's well that ends well!

Update 2: We have been here two days. This morning, the water was randomly shut off or something. We paid for a site with water. The RV campers in our loop dont have any water in their holding tank as two just arrived today. Owner and host do not stay during the week so there is NO ONE to talk to. INSANELY frustrating

Update: the owner decided to shut down the camp store Mon-Fri that we are here with no notice. We needed to get ice everyday as we were camping and depended on the store to be open per their website.

The park service seemed to have sold the campground to a private entity who is charging $42/night for improved campsites. They do not honor that the NRA website says $31/night. And they removed the hot water handle from the bathroom faucets.

The campsite itself is excellent.

This place is Goregous!!! The little glimpse of BIG Horn lake and the red cliff mountains is stunning it is so dark no street lights it makes for magical evenings!! There are restrooms, dumpsters,power and water (water and dump station are seasonal so be sure to check!)

Campground located at Horseshoe Bend Marine. We spend 2 nights, water hookup, power for 35ft 5th wheel. Each campsite is quite large, well done with fire ring, picnic table and sun screen. Campsites are built to accommodate camper, boats and truck. Our group all had campers and we were towing ATVs. We also rented the large boat at the marina, fits up to 45 I think, for two hour boat ride down the canyon. Worth the time and money. You can bring your own cooler with lunch and drinks. The down fall here is the WIND. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS SECURE. We had two crazy nights of wind, gusts up to 60 or 75 mph. Also cell service only available at the Marina
