Nice campground. Wish we could have stayed longer. Our site had a tent pad which is always nice.

The only issue at this campground is this site. Do not reserve it if you don’t like people walking around your vehicle to walk through the boulders & through your site to go to the bathroom at all hours!!! The boulders are situated in a way that a full size vehicle has no choice but to pull up fully to get out of the road to prevent other vehicles from hitting yours. This means you have to open your vehicle doors on top of the boulders & step on them to get in & out of your vehicle. (Any joint issues will further complicate this maneuvering for you. I only fell once when I was in a hurry.) Despite the boulders that have a small opening to restrict access, the social path to the restroom in this section is straight through the middle of this site. Looking towards the restroom you have the bear box to the right of the social path & the table & tent site to the left of the social path. It’s a decent sized site; sadly, the boulders make moving your stuff in difficult & the social path entitles other difficult people to walk around / by your vehicle to access the social path & walk through your site & stuff on their way to the bathroom. Yes, there are other social paths that don’t go through other sites. It did not make a difference to those walking through this site. The first time it surprised me & I startled in reaction to the man & woman walking through my site. The man said, “You’re lucky we aren’t bears!” Another lady looked at me & said. “This is your camp site??? I guess I’ll go around next time.” I kept all my stuff packed up & used the site at night only. I mentioned to the park employee the difficulty of parking at this site when I first got there. It didn’t matter. I should have been able to tell from the picture. They used a lens that makes it look much bigger / better than it truly is. That this loop is generator free was very nice.

This place is great! It's right in the heart of the park so location could not be better. They have good bathrooms with regular toilets, showers, and a laundromat. It's right on Jackson Lake so you can have a picnic and swim any time. It's very woodsy so even though it's a campground it doesn't feel like you're in a neighborhood. Be warned though that the mosquitos are pretty feisty. Other than that we loved it and would definitely come back!
