I like signal mountain and the views were great. but the campsites are very small and packed together very tightly. however I would stay there again if I have my choice of campsites.

This was the most expensive CG we stayed at. And the place is in shambles.
Restrooms were OK. Could have been cleaner. Flush toilets are a plus. No showers; fine. $6 bucks near the entrance.
The CG is overgrown with vegetation. The logs defining the site perimeters are rotted and disintegrating. The sites are not level.
And it's hard to tell by photos just how uneven your site might be. Tents, not a problem. Square, gravel platforms.
It's a disgrace that it's in such a beautiful park, so neglected and $$$.

Signal Mountain Camp Ground was a great experience. You were in the heart of nature, during the night you could hear Owels wooting and coyotes yelping. At times you could hear Bull Elk bugeling. The Lake in late September was really low but you could walk down to the water and enjoy yourself.
Signal Mountain was in the middle of the park so it didn't take very long to get to any part of the park.

Lake views, elk bugling, flat sites with trees,... and hot showers a short walk away.

Overall nice little campground. Our site was plenty big enough for our small teardrop and tow vehicle, but the site was not super level. Bear box for food storage was tucked in the far rear, so a bit inconvenient to the camper. Nicely wooded and private spot, but campground has some age on it. Very narrow roads and some sites appeared awkwardly shaped, so be aware of that depending on your camping apparatus. Restrooms had flush toilets, but in our loop the availability from our site involved a walk down a sloped pathway that was fairly inaccessible because of rain. So walked up to bath shower house.
The staff drives through campground frequently and seemed pleasant, but we had no interaction. Showers are token operated, but large and instant hot water with heavy pressure. Tokens available in laundry (use credit card or cash) which was located right there. Staff kept showers cleaned, but there are limits to when showers are unlocked and available. 7am-10pm while we were there.
Location was very central to the park and the general store had excellent supplies and food - even a coffee bar! We went to Deadman’s bar a few times and food, service, and drinks were excellent. Breakfast at restaurant was terrible.
Overall nice campground and location in the park with good amenities.
