Spectacular views from campsite #9 but noisy given location along side Hwy 16. Noise drops rating from 5 to 4 stars. Easy walking distance to Meadowlark Lake and all its recreation opportunities. Camp host, Doug from Cheyenne, was very friendly.

8800 feet up, cold in September! One-night stay on a road trip. There was a bull moose browsing across the lake in the morning which is hard to beat. Three stars because the camp host was absent during our whole stay and the honor system firewood for sale at the camp host's site was out of stock. Firewood is important this time of year at this elevation. I would have bought some at Buffalo before heading into the mountains, except the website had said it would be available for sale on-site.

Nice small campground with wonderful views of the lake and daily visits from a mamma moose and her little one. There is a path to the lake, but you need to drive back to the road to the boat ramp. Clean vault toilets and good firewood.

Our camp host Sally was phenomenal, she kept everything tidy and the bathrooms were immaculate. Beautiful sites, tons of moose about, and everyone was quiet and respectful, even on a holiday weekend. Can’t wait to return!

Gorgeous tent sites where mountain streams meet the lake. Might be buggy earlier season, but perfect by late August. And we woke up to 2 moose in the willows 50 feet from our tent! Potable water and vault toilets, well maintained, and gorgeous location. Highly recommend this campground!
