We reserved site #9. The picture of site 9 was NOT site 9. Some updating is in order on the website. the site worked out fine for us in spite of the mix up on the campsite picture. The reservation system had at least 2 or 3 sites reserved, BUT VACANT, during our stay. We feel that if the campsite is not occupied the first night of the reservation, the reservation should become void and the site available on a first come, first serve basis.

Really enjoyed the walk-in site! Beautiful view of the lake and felt pretty private. Also the host is doing a great job with keeping the bathrooms clean!

Great semi-remote site. Great setting with lake, trails and streams, Trout fishing was good. The day use people infringe on the campground a bit but that has been going on for years. The area camp host is both friendly and a great caretaker to the area. This without a doubt is a five-star campground in my book, Site #1 is a good site-slopes towards the lake a bit but I had a small camper.

I didn't get to stay there as I lost my sleeping bag somewhere on the washboard road. As far as the site went- Not level. Not good for a tent.

We have been RVing for the past 7 years. I have to honestly say this is the most beautiful campground we have camped at in our RV. There are only 10 spots, so it's not a crowded campground. It appeared most sites can take a large RV. Our RV is 28 feet and we able to get it into our spot (3) with little difficulty. If you have an oversized RV, try to get spot 4. It looked like it could take a Class A if necessary. Yes, the road to it off the main highway is a dirt road with a lot of washboard and pot holes. We didn't like that. It will take you about 15-20 minutes to get to the campsite if you go slow. The fishing at the lake was awesome. Caught several brook trout and one tiger trout from the shore using worms for bait. The nights are very chilly, especially in June. It even snowed about an inch on us and the temperature got down to 26 degrees one night! Also, be advised there is NO cell phone service at all. I also want to mention that the camp host Deb, was the best host we ever had met at a campsite!! I thought I would run out of fuel for our generator and she said if I needed some, she would get me fuel. How many camp hosts would do that? Although we didn't use the restrooms, I saw her every day going into them and cleaning. The best camp host ever! We would love to come back here one day again. It's peaceful and quiet. We did see one moose with her calf across the lake.

It would have been helpful to know that if it was 7 mi up a dirt road. Other than that it was a beautiful site

Wonderful experience, last campground in the canyon, most sites are semi-private, balanmce of sun and shade. Near the lake. Hiling and trailheads into the Cloud Peak Wilderness just up the road. Will be back soon!
