What Guests Are Saying

Prune Creek is a beautiful and quiet campground with well-maintained grounds and easily walkable roads. The vault toilets are exceptionally clean and odor-free, surpassing many flushable options. While there is no cell service for T-Mobile users, this is considered a minor issue.

Beautiful campground! It was quiet, beautifully laid out with easily walkable roads, a path along the creek, and well kept grounds. Also, yes it has vault toilets but these are legit the cleanest vault toilets I have ever seen. They didn’t even smell and were cleaner and better smelling than most flushable campground toilets. We didn’t have cell service (T-Mobile) but that’s understandable.

Great basecamp to explore the BigHorns.
Clean bathrooms, friendly hosts. Enjoyed all the humming birds around the camp.
Had moose browsing nearby while having breakfast every morning.
Just a beautiful area.

Truth is, I'd like to give my favorite place in the West a really poor rating just to keep the people away, but Prune Creek is our home [very far] away from home. A little slice of heaven where you can spend your days driving and hiking peaks, and your nights being swallowed up by endless stars while you listen to the creek tumble and trip all over itself. Dine with moose who invite themselves to breakfast and dinner both.

Very beautiful and clean. Water provided by old pumps, no electrical or sewer, small outhouse in each loop. Camp host was very friendly.

One of our favorite CG on mtn. Developed with central water, pit toilets, tables and fire-rings; no HU. Lots of moose and wildlife to enjoy. Several sites for 40'+. Just off hwy so a bit of road noise. NO cell service for 15+ miles in these mountains .. good or bad depends on your perspective. Lucy moosy and Daffy calfy kept us corralled for 3 days!
