About Prune Creek

Prune Creek Campground is located along the Bighorn Scenic Byway (U.S. Highway 14) near the Burgess Junction at an elevation of 7,700 feet. The Bighorn National Forest offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking, fishing, scenic driving and a number of historic sites. The campground was exceptionally clean, quiet, and facilities were well taken care of. The wildlife viewing in the Big Horns is certainly a hidden treasure. Definitely will reserve Prune Creek again.

Nice cozy campsite next to Prune Creek. Plenty of shade and there is a un-maintained trail along the river that wasn't on any of my maps. Some road noise from the adjacent highway. Saw three moose near camp and two more on the trail.

Very quiet and beautiful campground. Host/maintenance person was very helpful after we arrived and found someone in our reserved site. Highly recommend this campground.
