Indian Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful and quiet setting, surrounded by trails and offering a sense of privacy with well-maintained sites. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful, ensuring cleanliness throughout the campground, including the vault toilets. While some visitors experienced noise disturbances from other campers and noted the lack of showers, the overall atmosphere is tranquil, making it a great spot to enjoy the natural beauty of Yellowstone.

Great campsite close to Mammoth. Campsites are very close to one another and there is some shade but not fully covered. We were in walking distance of the vault toilets and the campsite next to us had the water spigot access. The camp hosts were super nice and helpful!

The staff at the office were very helpful. The vault toilet by our campsite would win the award for cleanliness.

Very nice, easy to find and very clean.
Quiet when we were there…first week of July ‘26
Pit toilets-clean (lol) and they had a “air freshener” installed and it worked!👍
Overall it as great.

It is nice and quiet, but it also does not have any hookups for RVs, and generators are prohibited, so be prepared to boondock. Spacing between sites is a lot better than the RV campgrounds in Yellowstone. Although not advertised, there are 2 hose bibs to dispense water into RV fresh water tanks, but you'll block the road when filling if you have to do that. You can fill water tanks in Gardiner at the Sinclair gas station at no charge, but dumping tanks cost $20. There is not a dump station at Indian Creek. Also, there are only a few site that will accomodate large RVs.
